The Torch has been online in the past, but we are launching a brand new site!
Check out www.thewittenbergtorch.com
The new site will aim to make The Torch more accessible, and make the student body more involved with the topics presented.
- Threaded Comments Discussion
Have an opinion about an article? We want the Wittenberg student body to be able to voice their opinions through The Torch. All articles will have space for comment at the bottom of the page. You can respond with your thoughts or questions about the article, or to other comments specifically. In order to avoid spam, comments will need be “approved” by site administrators before they appear, but feel free to voice your opinion- there will be no “moderation” of voices.
- The New Facebook Page
Become a fan of “The Wittenberg Torch” on Facebook. Follow the Facebook logo on the menu bar to find the page. (There is another (outdated) fan page with the same name. We are working on this issue. In the meantime, know that the correct one is the one that has a photo of two tigers reading The Torch. Or just follow the link on the site.) Headlining articles will be posted on the page, so they will show up right in your facebook newsfeed. Posts on this page will also be utilized for gathering student opinions.
- RSS Feed
For those of you who use RSS, all articles will be published to the site and appear in the provided RSS feed. This makes it easy for you to read The Torch in any RSS reader, along with any other blogs or feeds you follow. Look for the orange RSS button next to the facebook logo on the menu bar on any page on the site, which will bring you to the URL where the feed is located.
- Student Opinion Column Blogs
This is still a work in progress, but soon there will be a few more columns involved in the site. Certain work from these columns may be used in The Torch in print, but for the most part they will exist on the website alone.
We hope you enjoy the site, and we want to hear what you think of it! Please direct any questions, ideas, or general feedback to Kate Causbie (s14.kcausbie@wittenberg.edu).

Heck yes! Shout out to Kate Causbie for getting this done and looking great!
