10/31/2011 at 7:37 a.m. Officers issued a student a Dean’s summons after finding him asleep in the Matthies House. He had been there all night.
10/31/2011 at 9:09 a.m. Officers assisted the management of Dining Services with the termination of an employee. The employee was also found to have an outstanding warrant against him. Upon detection of the officers, he fled. Officers arrested him after a foot chase on Mason Street.
11/1/2011 at 6:44 p.m. Officers located two students who were wearing Halloween masks in Tower Hall. The students entered rooms without consent to startle fellow students. They were located by officers and issued a Dean’s summons for inducing panic and creating a disturbance.
11/2/2011 at 1:58 p.m. Officers responded to New Residence Hall regarding a smoke alarm. Two students occupying the room reported that the alarm activated while spraying air freshener. Springfield Fire Department assisted and all way okay. The system was reset.
11/2/2011 at 10:34 a.m. Officers received a report of a theft at Blair Hall. Someone removed a Mac keyboard from the room. The date of theft could not be determined.
11/3/2011 at 10:26 p.m. Officers handled a verbal dispute between two non-students on the lot of Physical Plant. The dispute was over the misidentification of a vehicle one person was in and the other thought it belonged to someone else??? Both were advised and sent on their way.
11/5/2011 at 2:35 a.m. Officers found a student passed out in the bathroom of the New Residence Hall. The underage student had consumed too much alcohol. He was assisted and cited into the Dean’s Office for underage consumption and public intoxication.
11/5/2011 at 11:30 p.m. Officers cited a student into the Dean’s Office for underage consumption, public intoxication and obstructing official business after observing him with a can of beer on Park Place. He failed to tell the officers the truth about his name and age, resulting in the obstructing charge.
11/6/2011 at 12:24 a.m. Officers assisted a student on N. Fountain Ave who reported a suspicious person knocking on his door. The person was operating a white SUV with a florist logo on the side. He left the area before officers arrived.
11/7/2011 at 3:11 p.m. Officers assisted a student who reported the theft of his personal information and a Facebook profile that has been set up without consent. A report was taken. Officers will follow up.
