It’s “Tiger Up!” all day. Taking an exam? Tiger Up! Workout? Tiger Up! Game day? Tiger Up! Even, going out tonight? Tiger Up! Do we ever have time to be a down Tiger? Yes, we do. We will make time for self care, and this is how to do so:
Making time: There are obvious times to not make time for this. Don’t decide to do some self care when you should be doing that 12 page paper you’ve neglected and have due the next day. Catch up on your assignments. Do not use self care as a procrastination device.
Get Clean: Start with a shower and brushing your teeth. There is nothing better than the feeling of being clean. Face masks are an excellent step too, and for those male readers, there are facial hair friendly clay masks that are a very nice quality.
Get Comfortable: First, take your time and layer on your favorite sent of lotion. Break out the over-sized flannel and the fuzzy socks. Snuggle up with a warm cup of tea, cocoa, apple cider or coffee. Make yourself a light snack that will keep you happy.
Do something simple: Think about the little things that make you happy. Read a novel, watch a show, write something. There are endless possibilities on what you can do. You know what you like to do, so do it.
You don’t need to do any of this to relax, Tiger. There are so many ways to relax, or maybe trying to relax stresses you out. That’s okay. Do what is best for you.
