Police Log

09/07/16 Officers were dispatched to the Firestine pay lot in reference to a stolen picnic table. The picnic table was located in the back of a white Chevy Truck. The picnic table was recovered and returned. This incident is under investigation.

09/10/16 Officers observed two students sleeping in the grass behind Student Development. Both students were intoxicated and underage. This matter has been referred to Student Development for review.

09/10/16 While on patrol, officers found damage to the lock for the stanchions and chains on Alumni Way. Physical Plant was notified. There are no known suspects at this time.

09/10/16 Officers were dispatched to 641 N. Wittenberg Ave. in reference to a supervisory trouble alarm. The alarm showed Communication Fault “4th Floor.” Officers walked through the building and everything appeared okay. The alarm panel would not reset and physical Plant was notified.

09/11/16 While on patrol, officers were informed of a bonfire in the 1000 blk. of Woodlawn Ave. Officers made contact with the residents and informed the students that fires are not permitted on campus unless a burn permit is obtained. The students stated that they did not have a burn permit and extinguished the fire. This incident has been referred to Student Development for review.

09/12/16 Officers were dispatched to Firestine Hall on a welfare check. After several attempts, officers spoke to the student and he was okay. Student development was notified.

09/14/16 Officers were out on a property violation at residence in the 1000 blk. of Woodlawn Ave. when they detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the residence. Officers could hear people talking inside the residence, but they refused to come to the door. Officers were granted permission from the on-call dean to search the residence. Officers located a small of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. This matter has been referred to Student Development for review.
